Zimbabwe’s expanding connectivity increases the need for practical digital skills.

Zimbabwe’s digital economy continues to expand, creating a stronger need for practical computing, networking, cyber-security and technical-support skills.

What the official sector data shows

The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe reported that active internet and data subscriptions increased from approximately 11.94 million in the first quarter of 2025 to 12.83 million in the second quarter. The report also recorded growth in mobile internet, fixed LTE and VSAT subscriptions.

More connections mean more devices, networks, applications and customer systems that must be installed, managed and protected. This creates opportunities in technical support, network administration, software development, database management, cyber security and business computing.
