Entry requirements for this course

To join the Speciss family and kick-start your career, you need to have 5 “O” levels, or have passed the Refrigeration Certificate course at Speciss College, or be older than 23 years of age and have relevant experience in the refrigeration field. Bring certified copies of your qualifications when you come to register at Speciss College!


 

What will you learn? (the syllabus)

This is what you’ll study in the Refrigeration Diploma course:

  • Safety at work
  • Materials – plants and refrigerants
  • Calculations, science and drawings
  • Practical skills
  • Communications and information technology
  • Alteration, repair and planned maintenance



What exams will you write?

Exams are held monthly. You’ll register for the exams with the Speciss College Exams Officer. Information on the exam fees can be obtained from the Speciss College Exams Officer.



When and where are the classes and what are the fees?

Lessons are offered at different times on different campuses, with some lessons being held during the day, and others in the evening or at weekends.

Often the same course can be studied at a variety of different times, so you can choose the one which is more convenient to you.

You’ll get your personal timetable when you register at Speciss College.

 



What about books and stationery?

You'll need to bring your own notebook and writing materials to your classes. For your convenience, we have a range of stationery items at the Speciss bookshops.
