Are you stuck in your career because you don’t have 'O' Level Maths?

Do you need specialised results-based tuition in Maths?

Who will issue your certificate?

University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is the world’s largest provider of international qualifications . The broad aim of the qualifications is to develop students' skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving.

CIE offers an extensive range of qualifications and programmes, of which the “O” and “A” level qualifications are the most widely known. These two qualifications are acknowledged as the basis for entry into many universities and professional institutions. Some American universities even give up to a year's credit to students who have good “A” level results in their chosen area of study.

The job market, too, frequently uses CIE results as their benchmark – you’ll have noticed how often an advertisement for a vacancy describes the ideal candidate with the words “must have 5 “O” levels, including Maths and English”.

CIE qualifications are the foundation of your future success, both academically and commercially!

The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) was established as the body responsible for the administration of public examinations in primary and secondary education in Zimbabwe.

It is also responsible for the quality assessment of candidates' learning and performance, and for the awarding of nationally and internationally recognised certificates at different levels of the school education system.

Entry requirements for this course

Any student, regardless of age, who requires a pass in Maths at Ordinary Level can enter this intensive programme.

What you will learn

Tutors administer diagnostic tests on a range of Maths skills to determine your particular problems in Maths. Many people struggle with Maths because they did not grasp the underlying concepts when they were first introduced– which can sometimes be as early as Grade Three.

Tutors therefore trace Maths concepts you struggle with, all the way back to their first appearance in the syllabus. You are then placed in specialised groups where the identified weak areas are specifically addressed.

At the end of each learning block the Study Centre will give you a detailed progress report and you will also write an internal test.

What exams will you write?

Speciss is an exam centre for both Cambridge and Zimsec. Please talk to the Speciss Exams Officer to find out how you can register for the Cambridge or Zimsec “O” Level Maths exam.

When and where are the classes and what are the fees?

Lessons are offered at different times on different campuses, with some lessons being held during the day, and others in the evening or at weekends. Often the same course can be studied at a variety of different times, so you can choose the one which is more convenient to you.

You’ll get your personal timetable when you register at Speciss College.

What about books and stationery?

Students should bring their own notebooks and writing materials to classes. For your convenience, we have a range of stationery items at the Speciss bookshops.
