Lower 6 Cambridge and ZIMSEC Syllabii. Affordable Tuition in Harare South

Do you want your child to be taught by well-qualified and experienced teachers?

Who will issue your certificate?

University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is the world’s largest provider of international qualifications for 14–19 year olds. The broad aim of the qualifications is to develop students' skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving.CIE offers an extensive range of qualifications and programmes, of which the “O” and “A” level qualifications are the most widely known. These two qualifications are acknowledged as the basis for entry into many universities and professional institutions. Some American universities even give up to a year's credit to students who have good “A” level results in their chosen area of study

The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (Zimsec) was established as the body responsible for the administration of public examinations in primary and secondary education in Zimbabwe. It is also responsible for the quality assessment of candidates' learning and performance, and for the awarding of nationally and internationally recognised certificates at different levels of the school education system.

Entry requirements for this course

To join the Speciss High School family, your son or daughter must have passed Form 4. Subject choices will be discussed with the High School Director of Studies before registration.

Please bring certified copies of your child’s qualifications when you come to register at Speciss College!

What will you learn? (the syllabus)

Subjects available to Lower 6 students at Speciss College include:

What exams will you write?

Lower students write mock “A” level exams at mid-year and again at the end of the year. The results of these mock exams are particularly important as they are used to identify any gaps in the student’s knowledge, so that the teacher can give the student further assistance before the all-important “A” levels!

When and where are the classes and what are the fees?

Lessons are offered at different times on different campuses, with some lessons being held during the day, and others in the evening or at weekends. Often the same course can be studied at a variety of different times, so you can choose the one which is more convenient to you.

You’ll get your personal timetable when you register at Speciss College.

What about books and stationery?

You'll need to bring your own notebook and writing materials to your classes. For your convenience, we have a range of stationery items at the Speciss bookshops.

A list of textbooks is available from the High School Director of Studies. We strongly recommend that you purchase these texts.
