Project Management Zimbabwe (formerly called The Project Management Institute of Zimbabwe) is the national authority on project management with a vision to promote professionalism and to achieve recognised standards of certification for project managers in Zimbabwe.

 

Certification

Once you’ve completed your study with Speciss College and passed the exams you’ll be awarded PMZ Certificate in Project Monitoring and Evaluation. You can then proceed to study for the diploma in project management.

Entry requirements

To enrol for the Certificate in Project Monitoring and Evaluation  you must have 5 O Levels, including English Language. Mature entry is considered for students who are at least 30 years old with several years of proven  relevant work experience.  

 

Bring certified copies of your certificates when you come to Speciss College to register as a student.

 

The syllabus

Certificate in Project Monitoring and Evaluation – 4 modules

1.      IPM01 - Introduction to Project Management

2.      PPME02 - Principles of Project Monitoring and Evaluation

3.      QLET03 - Qualitative Evaluation Techniques

4.      QTET04 - Quantitative Evaluation Techniques

 

 

Lesson times

Lessons will be held in the evenings.  Some lessons maybe held on Saturdays.  Each module will be taught for a minimum of two hours per week.  You will get your personal timetable when you register at Speciss College.

The examinations

Exams are written in June and November each year.  You will register for the examinations with PMZ.  Information on the examination fees, which are payable at least six weeks before the exam can be obtained from PMZ.

 

Books and stationery

You’ll need to bring your own notebooks and writing materials to your classes. The list of prescribed and recommended books is available from PMZ.  We strongly urge you to buy a copy of the prescribed texts.

Registration with PMZ

In addition to registering with Speciss College, you must also register as a member of PMZ and pay examination fees to PMZ.
